Around twenty-five thousand homes in south-east Queensland woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems passed over the area, producing wind gusts topping over 100 km/h.
Large Frozen Precipitation and Widespread Destruction
Homeowners reported giant hailstones reaching sizes of seven centimeters in certain regions. Meteorological experts announced that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by significant hail.

Response teams were attempting to repair energy supply throughout the affected regions, with nearly 70 crews activated to manage the numerous electricity disruptions.
Southern State's Storm Challenges
Simultaneously, around 1,000 households in the southern state also encountered electricity disruptions after Melbourne experienced its most precipitation in a year and a half.
Rescue organizations received over five hundred calls for help across the state, primarily for property damage but also for downed trees and flooding.

At one point on yesterday, in excess of 28,000 energy customers in the state were without power.
Meteorological Predictions
Moist weather were forecast to persist along much of Queensland's east this coming days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.
Tomorrow was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent severe weather risk predicted across different parts of both areas.
Safety Concern
Medical authorities cautioned that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, specifically given the current weather patterns.
This warning comes after previous incidents where comparable situations led to major medical consequences in the region.
